Beckley Preschool is a registered charity, which means we are a non-profit making group. Our hourly rate from September 2025 is £7.00.
Funding available:
We are registered to accept the following Government funding as follows:
- 2 year old funding for families in receipt of certain government support – 15 hrs p/week
- 2-4 year old funding for working families – up to 30 hrs p/week (24 hours for us)
This funding depends on eligibility and requires a code that is supplied by the parent after making an application online. We can only provide this funding if we have an eligible code.
- 3/4 year old universal funding – 15 hours for all 3/4 year olds from the term after they turn 3 years old
This funding DOES NOT require a code as every child is entitled to this.
Our hourly rate from September 2025 is £7.00. Unfortunately the EYEE has not kept pace with rising costs and now only covers the cost of the child care and not other additional service costs eg; craft materials, toiletries etc… Therefore to keep our settings on a good financial footing, we are asking parents of 3 and 4 year olds to pay a fee of £1 per funded hour, to cover the cost of additional services. This is a voluntary fee.
Funded 2 year olds and 2 year olds paying our full fees will not be charged this. Other arrangements may be possible if you have trouble paying your fees, or if you wish to pay weekly or monthly. Please speak to the Manager about making other arrangements. If your child does not attend due to illness/holiday fees still need to be paid, as this keeps their place open for them.
The Government grant comes into effect the term after your child becomes 2 or 3 years old and can be spilt and used over any number of different settings. The grant covers 38 weeks per year. If you are only entitled to 15 hours per week you will be expected to pay for any hours above the 15 hours. You will be asked to fill in a form at the beginning of each term confirming how many sessions you will be claiming from Beckley Preschool per week (a similar form will be requested from other settings your child may attend). When completing the form for the first time, we will need to see your child’s birth certificate or passport for identification purposes.
