Beckley Preschool is a registered charity, which means we are a non-profit making group. Children are eligible for 15hrs per week, Early Years Education Entitlement from the term after they turn 3 years old. Our hourly rate from September 2024 is £6.50. Unfortunately the EYEE has not kept pace with rising costs and now only covers the cost of the child care and not other additional service costs eg; snack, craft materials, toiletries etc… Therefore to keep our settings on a good financial footing, we are asking parents of 3 and 4 year olds to pay a fee of £3 per funded session (3 hours), to cover the cost of additional services. Funded 2 year olds and 2 year olds paying our full fees will not be charged this. Other arrangements may be possible if you have trouble paying your fees, or if you wish to pay weekly or monthly. Please speak to the Manager or Jill Brain (bursar) about making other arrangements. If your child does not attend due to illness/holiday fees still need to be paid, as this keeps their place open for them.
Notice of Withdrawal
Notice of a child leaving the setting should be given at least 1 month in advance and fees will be payable up to the end of the notice period.
Please see our fee policy and parental agreement contract for further details.
Government Nursery Grants
We are registered to accept the 2 year old and the 3 year old Government nursery grants.
The Government grant comes into effect the term after your child becomes 2 or 3 years old and can be spilt and used over any number of different settings. The grant covers 3 hours per session, 5 sessions per week for a total of 38 weeks per year. You will be expected to pay for any hours above 15 hours. You will be asked to fill in a form at the beginning of each term confirming how many sessions you will be claiming from Beckley Preschool per week (a similar form will be requested from other settings your child may attend). When completing the form for the first time, we will need to see your child’s birth certificate or passport for identification purposes.
As from September 2024 we are now accepting funding for up to 30 hours per week, for children who are eligible with working parents under the Government funded program. To check your eligibility please visit the Gov.uk website.
